Rebuilding Health in Rwanda

Founded in 2007 by students, Rebuilding Health in Rwanda is dedicated to improving the health care system in Rwanda. Currently, many Rwandans suffer from prevalent developing country diseases such as: cholera, HIV/AIDS, and psychological trauma. These health issues worsened after the genocide in 1994. We hope to alleviate this problem by formulating new curriculum to better train health care professionals in coping with these issues. By partnering with the Kigali Health Institute and the National University of Rwanda, we hope to bring about this change. We have a strong support base from the faculty and students from the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry.
